Garrison Park is a quiet, conveniently located, ethnically diverse residential neighborhood with easy access to south Austin and both major highways, MoPac and I-35. Lots of families, strip malls, and casual restaurants and cafes.

Features

Garrison Park is a family-friendly, working-class neighborhood with an ethnically and demographically diverse population. Neighbors are friendly and the community tends to be close-knit in certain areas. Mixture of families, seniors, and young singles here. City parks and schools are in and near the area.

Lots of casual dining, as well as coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream, and taco stands. Shopping options include strip malls, Sunflower organic supermarket, and thrift stores.

The neighborhood's convenient location is just south of the attractions of SoCo and downtown. Residents also can get on either MoPac or I-35 from here and get to the rest of the city that way.

Homes are modestly sized but relatively well-maintained. This being Austin, some of the homes display quirky lawn art.
