Summary

Grandview Hills is a designed community located off of Hwy. 2222 and 620, very near Lake Travis. The community was established in the 1980s and new construction has continued into the mid-2000s. Located within the Texas hill country, the neighborhood offers excellent views of the hills and the lake.

The neighborhood amenities include two children's parks and a community pool. There are also a number of restaurants nearby. Two major shopping malls are a short drive away.

Features

Grandview Hills is a planned community in the hill country, conveniently located near shopping, dining, and the recreation facilities of Lake Travis. The earliest section of the neighborhood began development in the 1980s and the newest section started construction in 2004.

Grandview Hills is a quiet, secluded, relatively small community offering family amenities, convenient location, abundant green space, and beautiful natural scenery. The neighborhood is near Hwy. 2222 and 620, two major thoroughfares in west Austin, providing access to the city and the western neighborhoods.

Two local parks, Muir Parke and Waterton Parke, offer family-friendly recreation. Waterton Parke also has a neighborhood swimming pool. Right across Hwy. 620 is Four Points Centre, a 333-acre commercial site that includes a shopping mall, supermarket, restaurants, Target, Home Depot, a gym, medical offices, and leased office space. Lakeline Mall is 15 minutes' drive away.

Along with the neighborhood amenities, Lake Travis is five minutes' drive from the neighborhood, offering boating, fishing, picnicking, and camping. A new elementary school has just been built in the neighborhood, and residents also have access to other schools in the highly-regarded Leander school district. Concordia University also has a new campus in the area.

There is a wide range of homes. The majority have 3,000 to 4,000 square feet. Prices start in the $200K range and go over $1 million depending on size and location.

Homes in Grandview Hills are reasonably priced for such a good location and relatively new community. The average selling price is under $400K and the price range of homes sold was from $200K to $700K. The majority were under $200K, though there are homes priced over $1 million. There are future plans to build high-end condominiums in the area, offering buyers another option.
