Northwest Hills is an upscale, scenic, family-friendly neighborhood set on a hilltop in west Austin, just off Hwy. 1 (MoPac). Residents have good views of the hill country and easy access to the shopping and dining, as well as major high-tech employers, of north and northwest Austin.
The neighborhood is bounded by several major local highways and there are top-rated schools right in the neighborhood. There are upscale restaurants scattered around the neighborhood. and shopping malls are just minutes’ commute away. Downtown is also close. The neighborhood has a park and hiking and bike trails.

Northwest Hills is an affluent, west Austin neighborhood with large homes, good views, a relaxed environment, and convenient location. Established in the 1960s, the neighborhood is adjacent to Hwy. 1 (MoPac) and to Anderson Lane, two major local thoroughfares, and is close to Hwy 360, a local highway in west Austin.
The neighborhood is close to shopping centers in north and northwest Austin, including the Domain and the Arboretum, with stores, restaurants, and a cinema, just five minutes’ drive away. The area is also close to the high tech companies in northwest Austin, and seven miles driving from downtown. The neighborhood also has its own shopping centers, supermarkets, and a wide variety of restaurants. Just east on Anderson Lane are more stores and restaurants.
The neighborhood association is active and sponsors annual events including a popular Fourth of July parade. The Dell Jewish Community Center is open to everyone, regardless of religion, and has a year-round heated pool, exercise classes, and a weight room. It also has summer camps and programs, as well as Jewish schools and synagogues. Nearby is the Westover Hills Club, with a swimming pool, and there is an Austin community pool nearby.
