Features

Sweetbriar is a middle-class neighborhood with strong ethnic, especially Hispanic, influence. Lots of large families. Also apartments with reasonable rates.

Proximity to I-35 means access to the city and points south and east, and to the shopping centers and restaurants along the interstate. But it also makes the neighborhood rather noisy and have lots of traffic.

Public bus routes through the neighborhood also provide access to downtown. Congress Ave., a major local thoroughfare, passes through the neighborhood and leads to the State Capitol.

The area itself has a lot of casual restaurants, particularly Mexican and burgers.
